So, here's the promised developmental update now that Maddie's 7 months old. (well, really 7 1/2 months by now, but who's counting)Maddie is cracking us up these days...she's figured out how to get attention. She now likes to blow raspberries; scream; squeal; grab for people's faces, glasses, earrings, necklaces; do the "wiggle"; growl; spit; you name it! Oh, and she can splash almost as well as Eli can in the tub - the two of them have the time of their life at bathtime in the evenings! Maddie crawls backwards, loves to stand up and play with Eli's chair and train table, and is now pulling herself up on things too. She's been clapping for about a month now and she just cut her first tooth. And, one thing I never want to forget is her belly laugh that comes out in spurts.
Maddie definitely commands attention everywhere she goes. Her red hair starts lots of conversations - that and her bright blue eyes! And do you know who she has eyes for? Her big brother! She watches him everywhere he goes and smiles the biggest smile you've ever seen. I love seeing Eli & Maddie starting to play together and love each other. :) As Eli says often, "Grow, Maddie, Grow!" (but not too fast)

She is too little to be so big. She is growing up way too fast and so beautiful. Abby read this with me and kept saying "Awww Maddie Awww":)
Sounds like the girl version of A! But he doesn't crawl backwards, he crawls one one knee and one foot like a crab. These babies LOVE their big brothers!
Blue eyes, red hari, cute laugh and smile...uh oh, watch out for the boys. "Stop growing, Maddie, Stop growing..."
