Easter is a wonderful time of celebration for us because its the day that we remember that Christ did not stay in the grave but arose and is our living hope for the future! This year, we started talking with Eli & Maddie about what Easter means with the help of some Resurrection Eggs from Grandma Penny & Papa. They were very excited to open the eggs each day and see what was inside and, although I don't think Eli got all of it, he did make comments throughout the week that made me realize he at least heard what we said. Its never too early to plant those seeds!

Here's a picture from our church service on Easter Sunday. I love it because they pass out flowers to everyone as you walk in and then we place them on the cross at the front. Maddie was very proud of herself for getting the flowers to stay. :)

We spent the afternoon with family and had a great time, even though we didn't get to be outside much. It was pretty cold and rainy all day. Check out Eli's hat! He picked it out all by himself. :)

The kids had a 2 floor indoor Easter egg hunt and got lots of eggs for their baskets. Of course, they then promptly started to eat as much of the candy as they could before mom & dad intervened. Even then, it was a crazy night with no naps and lots of sugar intake!

Eli had lots of fun playing with his cousin Chloe. She's so good about playing games with him and letting him follow her around!
