So, here are the promised pictures from our most formidable snow storm of the season!
This first attempt at getting the kids dressed and out in the snow didn't work too well. They were back inside in less than 5 minutes, both screaming. Hmmm...

Here's Eli's version of making snow angels. Somehow, he doesn't quite understand that its better to lay on your back instead of your face. (Perhaps that was part of the cause for the said screaming.)

Later in the afternoon when it was a bit warmer, we were able to make a full-fledged snowman. Eli was very excited about using a carrot as the nose. This is "Kristin" the snowman. :)
Although we bought sleds for the kids many months ago, this was the first time that we actually got to use them for sledding! Both Eli & Maddie had a blast.

We didn't actually send Maddie down the entire hill by herself, but she loved riding around in her sled and cheering for her brother.
Eli was quite the little daredevil! He went down the hill with the big kids and, even though he went flying off of his sled toward the bottom, he jumped up and asked to go on a "steeper hill" the next time!

Here is one of many treks back up the sledding hill with dad. :)
